Wow - you had me. especially the map. Ken Gogel, whose law firm was in South Egremont, and sadly passed away before we had the benefits of his vision, had always pointed to our location as a prime motive for long term investment in this region. While the scale of the project is terrifying, your idea, scaled, is truly interestiing. I hope some "Easterners" take note. Happy April 1.

Fabulous creativity. After enjoying the vision, m first thought was they better build their own housing and bring in their own doctors.

You April Fool weiseheimer! I am still having difficulty surrendering this beautiful fantasy, and fear I will aways be reluctant to do so.

It's April 2nd and I just heard from a friend that about ten minutes into a conference call the people he was talking to started to tell him about a transformative project being planned to establish an MIT campus in Great Barrington. He had to stop them, and tell them it was an April Fools joke. They weren't happy about it - they wanted it to be true. As have a lot of other people I've heard from.

I was going to add a section about housing, and some other topics, that I was sketching as I came up with this. Including the restoration of tram lines to Housatonic, Sheffield, and Lee.
